Meet the Team
I became fascinated by people’s behaviour during my 7 years’ working as a microbiologist and 20 years’ in sales management in industry. Part of my job was to talk to a wide variety of people from engineers, farmers, technicians, academics and end users from various markets making sure they all understood what was happening from each other’s point of view. Making the invisible visible and finding the solution to the problem.
In a word I became the “bridge” between the two ends; my skill was finding the “gap in knowledge” and then using the right language to be understood – but one thing that became apparent each time was the unpredictability of behaviour in each new person I met. What was the right language for one person wasn’t necessarily right for the next one.
I soon released the gap in knowledge and the language problem is in every industry and profession I have encountered. My vision became Solutions 42 “Performance improvement and strategic advisors” to all industry and professions. I create unique training specific to the organisation aligning management, systems and people.
Communication is always at the root of every outcome. If the result you wanted hasn’t happened you can bet the language and vision you had was not 100% understood by the end user.
I have worked in sales and marketing for 20 years as well as a decade in education. During my time in industry I worked in many countries, Iceland, Denmark, USA, France, Italy where language has to be very clear, very respectful and succinct. During my ten years working in the art department in Seniors and Sixth form the language used had to be more explanatory meeting different levels of competency and not just written but verbal and visual as well.
Now working back in marketing for Solutions 42 all my experience of industry speak/language as well as educational clarity have been merged together to help create training material to match the multi-level abilities of the end users.
